Chippenham’s international tech boom continues as TEG takes new offices
Growing UK transport technology specialist TEG has taken a floor at Bewley House, Chippenham, alongside Siemens and two other international technology companies, a clear sign that the location has a strong appeal to businesses with a global perspective.
Siemens has moved to a new suite on the ground floor, while TEG has taken over the first floor. Two other floors are occupied by Trapeze, a transportation software company owned by a giant Canadian IT company, and by Descartes, a multinational company specialising in logistics software. The final floor is occupied by the NHS. The landmark building is owned and operated by commercial property provider HPH.
Bewley House is an excellent business location with superb connectivity. The railway station is five minutes’ walk away and London is as little as one hour away by train, while Bristol, Bath and Swindon are all within 30 minutes’ drive.
The recommitment to Chippenham by Siemens and TEG also indicates that they want to stay in a location that’s attractive to employees. At a time when many businesses are trying to lure staff back to the office, a workplace is more appealing when it offers other attractions such as cafes, shops and a town centre buzz – all things out-of-town locations typically lack.
As well as being located right beside cycle routes, Bewley House also provides extensive car parking with EV charging, covered bike storage and a dedicated shower block. The building is carbon neutral and includes many energy saving measures such as energy efficient lighting, high performance window film and a new heating system with remote monitoring.

HPH were advised by leasing agents Alder King and Huw Thomas Commercial.
Siemens now occupy the ground floor Arches Suite, while TEG have taken the First Floor.
Two suites are still available in the building, Second Floor (2,700 sq. ft) and Ground Floor West Wing (825 sq. ft).
