Celebrate the festive season at Kingsmead Square

Businesses in Kingsmead Square will once again make it a magical place to celebrate the festive season. In amongst the array of cafes, bars and restaurants, this year’s Christmas light installation in the historic Square features twinkling starbursts and festoon lights as well as dazzling golden spirals for all to enjoy.

Supported by HPH Ltd and Bath BID, the lights are also part of the Bath Christmas Light Trail.

Allison Herbert, Chief Executive of Bath BID says:

“Bath is always magical at Christmas and this year is no exception. We are encouraging visitors to explore the whole city and perhaps discover places they might never have been to via the Christmas Light Trail. Businesses across the city have invested in brilliant showpieces to welcome you to Bath where you can shop, eat and drink and make the most of our entertainment and hospitality this season.”

Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH Ltd says:

“HPH are thrilled to be supporting the Square’s Christmas lights which we hope will be uplifting and bring cheer to locals and visitors alike as they enjoy the variety and quality of the businesses here in one of Bath’s largest concentrations of independents.”

With outdoor seating across the Square and surrounding streets, the festive atmosphere is further enhanced with seasonal offerings, including spiced hot chocolate and mince pies at Society Café, mulled cider and cheese and cranberry toasties at Kingsmead Street Bottle as well as in-store discounts from newly opened Bullfrog.

Tag @bullfrogbottles and @kingsmeadsquarebath in your Instagram stories and receive 10% off in-store purchases (T&Cs apply). Also, look out for Christmassy treats at Swoon from mid December.

This year’s Christmas lights are fundraising for Children’s Hospice South West during the charity’s 30th year. Children’s Hospice South West are dedicated to providing the best possible hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Businesses in Kingsmead Square will be displaying a QR code which visitors can scan to donate to the only children’s hospice in the South West. What’s more, Mission Burrito will be donating 30p from every Christmas Chicken & Chorizo special burrito sold between 13th-24th December in Bath and Bristol.

For meetups, a dining experience or pre and post theatre meals, visitors can discover much-loved favourites including Boston Tea Party, Mission Burrito, Society Café, Swoon Gelato, The Bath Coffee Company, Kingsmead Street Bottle, Dough Pizza, Yum Yum Thai, The Bath Stable, Seafoods Fish & Chips, Kingsmead Kitchen, Chai Walla and The Dark Horse.
