Global software company Descartes moves to Bewley House in Chippenham

Canadian software company Descartes Systems Group Inc are to move into office space at Bewley House in Chippenham coinciding with their UK team expansion.

The multinational technology company specialise in software and services to improve the operational efficiency and regulatory compliance of logistics and transportation operations with customers including John Lewis Partnership, Maersk Group and The Coca-Cola Company. Employing over 1,300 people globally, they operate from 72 offices; three of which are in the UK.

Descartes Systems UK Ltd will be moving to the third floor of Bewley House, occupying 2,695sq.ft. of office space joining global technology giant, Siemens PLC, and international engineering, design and consultancy company, Ramboll.

The Chippenham team will also be expanded having recently added a number of new hires in software development, customer support and marketing.

“The new office is required to accommodate this and future growth. It will also provide us with first class facilities for staff, meetings and training with our customers. The central location and direct transport routes to London, Bristol and Bath makes it an ideal location for our employees and for business connections.”

HPH Commercial Property own and manage the landmark Chippenham building in addition to many other office, industrial and retail space across the region.

HPH have invested heavily in Bewley House in recent years and the office building offers occupiers shower facilities, superfast fibre to premises broadband, LED energy efficient lighting, electric vehicle charging points, intelligent lighting in stairwells, boasting strong sustainable and environmental credentials.
