For over 50 years we have been repurposing existing buildings, transforming them into modern, sustainable and healthy workplaces. The environmental benefits of reusing existing structures, materials and the embodied carbon emissions that went into the original construction, align with the principles of the circular economy.

Following extensive refurbishment, Grade I listed building 27 Gay Street in central Bath is the first in the UK to achieve BREEAM Excellent certification.

All of our electricity supplies move to renewable tariffs.

Carbon foot printing and statement of environmental policy and implementation of Environmental Management System.

Voltage optimisation (VO) technology is implemented at our buildings, reducing energy consumption and costs as well as lowering our carbon emissions.

As part of the national 10:10 campaign to cut emissions by 10% in 2010, we successfully reduced our emissions by 18% in one year.

Start conversion of all light fittings to LEDs. Emphasis on retrofit to preserve embedded carbon.

EV charging points are installed at all of our managed properties in response to the increasing popularity of electric and hybrid vehicles throughout the UK. HPH purchases an EV, enabling staff to travel to managed properties with a reduced carbon footprint.

HPH are the first property company to secure Lloyds Bank Green Loan. Over 5 year period of loan, we commit to a 30% reduction in energy intensity.

Start of within lease initiatives to deliver energy saving projects.

Carbon offset credits used for carbon capture projects as we transition from carbon neutrality to net zero.

In 2008 we began to install remote monitoring at our sites, allowing us to monitor consumption and target reductions. In 2021, the project is completed and the data collected offers actionable insights for continuous strategic progress in improving the environmental performance of our buildings.

All company vehicles are EVs. Data analysis used for comparative performance of floor space and occupational efficiencies across different companies and organisations.
